Frequency and wait are different measurements. A number can have a high lifetime count and still be absent from several recent draws. Neither measurement changes the next draw.

Take your numbers to the betslip

These are counts of what has already happened. A number that is behind is not owed an appearance, and a number that is ahead is not on a run.

Method

How every count is produced

The calculation is deliberately plain enough to repeat from the JSON file. There is no weighting, model score or hidden adjustment.

01

Validate the row

A stored draw must have a date, a draw type, six distinct main numbers and a distinct bonus ball. Every value must be an integer from 1 to 49. The invalid zero-ball source row fails this test and is not published.

02

Count main balls only

For each number from 1 to 49, the build walks every validated draw and adds one only when that number is among the six main balls. Bonus-ball appearances remain out of the totals.

03

Split by draw type

The same pass records a total for each of the four daily draws separately. The combined total is the sum of those four columns, so the table can be checked row by row.

04

Measure the current gap

The build finds the most recent draw containing each number and counts how many stored draws follow it. A long gap is not a debt that the draw must repay.

The crucial limit

Past UK 49s results do not influence future draws. Hot, cold and overdue are useful labels for describing stored history. They are not evidence of skill, an edge or a better chance of winning.

Clear answers

Hot and cold FAQ

Read these before turning a historical label into a claim about the next draw.

What does a hot UK 49s number mean here?

It means the number appeared as a main ball more often than other numbers in the 5 807 stored draws. It does not mean the number is more likely in the next draw.

What does a cold number mean?

Cold means a lower total main-ball count in the stored window. It is a description of the archive, not a warning against the number and not evidence that it is due.

Does the bonus ball count in these totals?

No. The table counts six main balls per draw, which is 34 842 recorded main-ball appearances. Bonus balls remain stored but are excluded from every total on this page.

Are there gaps in the archive?

Yes. The source does not provide early Lunchtime rows, one source page is inaccessible, one invalid zero-ball row was omitted, and Brunchtime and Drivetime only began on 27 January 2026 so no earlier date holds them. The page does not invent replacements.

Evidence

Where these records come from

The operator site blocks automated access, so ZA Bet stores fetchable independent records and says exactly where coverage stops.

Teatime results history archive

175 public archive pages were parsed for the original historical record, which later updates have extended. The publisher is independent, not the official 49s operator.

Use the page

What you can do on this page

Use the record first, then decide whether you need a different draw, a longer history or a betting explanation. The route links below stay inside the same stored data set.

Read the result before the commentary

The first number board gives you the dated draw or statistic the page is about. Six main balls are shown together. A seventh outlined ball is the bonus ball. The bonus is stored separately and never counted as one of the six main balls in a frequency calculation.

Check the freshness and source window

Every result page names the last stored date. If that date is not current, treat the page as a historical record. ZA Bet does not replace a missing result with a guess, and it does not label an old row as today's result just because the route contains the word today.

Move to the action you actually need

Use the history for an older date, hot and cold for long-window counts, predictions for clearly labelled pattern sets, or how to bet for market and betslip guidance. If you decide to bet, compare the live market and price before confirming.

Before the betslip

Use this order before you deposit

UK 49s is random. A clean result page can make the record easier to read, but it cannot make a selection more likely to win. The bookmaker's live betslip is the final source for the market name, closing time, stake, price and possible return.

  1. Check the draw. UK 49s draws four times a day. Choose Brunchtime, Lunchtime, Drivetime or Teatime and confirm the South African clock time shown by the bookmaker.
  2. Check the market. Make sure the number of selections and whether the bonus ball counts match the bet you intend to place.
  3. Check the price. Read the displayed odds and possible return before confirmation. Do not copy a payout figure from an old page into a new bet.
  4. Set the stake. Use money you can afford to lose. A previous loss is not a reason to increase the next stake.
  5. Keep the receipt. Save the bet reference, market, draw and displayed price so you can question a settlement with the bookmaker if needed.
