The dates sit beside the balls because freshness matters more than the word today in a page title. The bonus ball is outlined and separate from the six main numbers.

The draw
Two daily events, one shifting SA clock
The published events are fixed to UK local time. South Africa does not change clocks, so both local times move by one hour when the United Kingdom changes season.
| Draw | UK local time | SA time in UK summer | SA time in UK winter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lunchtime | 12:49 | 13:49 | 14:49 |
| Teatime | 17:49 | 18:49 | 19:49 |
The bookmaker closes before the result
The exact closing time is controlled by the bookmaker, not ZA Bet. Open the market early enough to read the selection, stake, price and possible return. A result time is not a promise that betting stays open until that minute.
Betting logic
The payout belongs to the betslip, not the archive
South African bookmakers offer fixed-odds markets around the UK 49s result. The market chosen determines how many numbers you select, what must match and whether the bonus ball has a role.
Choose the draw
UK 49s draws four times a day and each is a different event. A selection for one does not carry into the other, even when the numbers are the same.
Choose the market
A Pick 3 style market is not the same as selecting six balls or including the bonus. Read the market label and rules inside the bookmaker.
Read the live price
Possible return is based on the price shown when the bet is accepted. ZA Bet does not copy old odds into a page and present them as a current payout.
Clear answers
UK 49s FAQ
The essential distinctions are between draw and bookmaker, main balls and bonus, and historical record and future chance.
What is UK 49s?
UK 49s is a twice-daily numbers draw used as the underlying event for fixed-odds Lucky Numbers bets at South African bookmakers. It is not part of the South African National Lottery.
What time are the UK 49s draws in South Africa?
While the United Kingdom uses summer time, Lunchtime is 13:49 and Teatime is 18:49 in South Africa. Both move one hour later after the UK clocks go back.
How many balls are drawn?
Each stored result has six main balls from 1 to 49 and one separate bonus ball. The exact role of the bonus depends on the bookmaker market selected.
Can the history identify the next winning numbers?
No. The archive can show counts and gaps, but every draw is random and independent. Past frequency does not improve the chance of a number in the next draw.
Evidence
Where these records come from
The operator site blocks automated access, so ZA Bet stores fetchable independent records and says exactly where coverage stops.

Use the page
What you can do on this page
Use the record first, then decide whether you need a different draw, a longer history or a betting explanation. The route links below stay inside the same stored data set.
Read the result before the commentary
The first number board gives you the dated draw or statistic the page is about. Six main balls are shown together. A seventh outlined ball is the bonus ball. The bonus is stored separately and never counted as one of the six main balls in a frequency calculation.
Check the freshness and source window
Every result page names the last stored date. If that date is not current, treat the page as a historical record. ZA Bet does not replace a missing result with a guess, and it does not label an old row as today's result just because the route contains the word today.
Move to the action you actually need
Use the history for an older date, hot and cold for long-window counts, predictions for clearly labelled pattern sets, or how to bet for market and betslip guidance. If you decide to bet, compare the live market and price before confirming.

Before the betslip
Use this order before you deposit
UK 49s is random. A clean result page can make the record easier to read, but it cannot make a selection more likely to win. The bookmaker's live betslip is the final source for the market name, closing time, stake, price and possible return.
- Check the draw. UK 49s draws four times a day. Choose Brunchtime, Lunchtime, Drivetime or Teatime and confirm the South African clock time shown by the bookmaker.
- Check the market. Make sure the number of selections and whether the bonus ball counts match the bet you intend to place.
- Check the price. Read the displayed odds and possible return before confirmation. Do not copy a payout figure from an old page into a new bet.
- Set the stake. Use money you can afford to lose. A previous loss is not a reason to increase the next stake.
- Keep the receipt. Save the bet reference, market, draw and displayed price so you can question a settlement with the bookmaker if needed.
